Dr. Oksana Borys

Dr. Oksana Borys is excited to be serving the communities of Oakville and surrounding areas at the Pediatric Neurology Clinic!

She obtained her undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Medical Sciences, at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario. From here, she spent 4 years at Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland, studying medicine and developing her interest in Neurology, graduating in 2010. She returned to Ontario and completed a 5-year Pediatric Neurology training program at McMaster University in Hamilton, obtaining her certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 2015.

As part of her Pediatric Neurology training, Dr. Borys pursued clinical research focused on the diagnosis and management of Pediatric Migraine. She also obtained further training and certification in reading/reporting EEGs (electroencephalograms) through the Canadian Society of Clinical Neurophysiologists (CSCN). With this, she currently reads/reports Pediatric EEGs at both Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga, as well as Mackenzie Health in Richmond Hill.

When not at work, Dr. Borys enjoys spending time with her family. In her (limited) spare time, she volunteers in her community, participates in Ukrainian Folk Dancing with the UNF Kalyna Performing Arts Company and makes beautiful Ukrainian Easter Eggs (Pysanky).

Dr. Aly Aziz

Hi, I’m Dr. Aly Aziz

Pediatric Neurologist • Life and Wellness Coach • Meditation Teacher • Writer • Educator •  Children’s Book Author

I’m a Pediatric Neurologist based in Oakville, proudly serving children and families in our community and surrounding areas. My path in medicine began at University College Dublin, where I earned my Medical Degree in 2009. While I always knew helping children and their families was my calling, it was during medical school that I developed an interest in Neurology. That passion led me back to Toronto to complete a five-year Pediatric Neurology residency at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), followed by a fellowship in Epilepsy at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) in Ottawa. Today, I also interpret EEGs at Credit Valley Hospital and other clinics within Ontario.

But medicine is only part of how I support others. Over time, I’ve come to understand that healing and growth extend beyond clinical care — they involve the whole person: body, mind and spirit.  That belief led me to train as a certified Life and Wellness Coach (through Canada Coach Academy), and a certified Meditation Teacher (through Dharma Moon Tibet House).

Through coaching, I help clients navigate life transitions, clarify their goals, and build meaningful, values-aligned lives. Whether it’s stress, burnout, or simply the desire for a greater sense of purpose, my approach stems from compassionate inquiry to create a space that fosters insight, clarity and a positive mindset – traits that reside in each of us.

My meditation teaching is rooted in mindfulness and awareness practices that promote equanimity, resilience, balance and focus. I lead both group sessions and individual practices, on-line and in person.

Outside of medicine and coaching, I enjoy writing, creating educational content, and recently published my firstchildren’s book, Jay Loves Baseball— a heartwarming story for the youngest readers that celebrates the simplicity and benefits of play. You can find it here: www.jaylovesbaseball.ca

When not working, I enjoy hiking, exercising, reading, writing, listening to music, spending time with family and traveling the world with my wife. I’m endlessly curious and love learning about a wide variety of topics — it keeps life interesting and helps me bring a little more to the table in everything I do.
